Another brilliant market day in the heart of North Wales! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Today’s Caernarfon Market was everything a handmade stall should be — vibrant, creative, and full of lovely people who appreciate the craft.

The Setup

The stall looked proper mental today (in the best way). Went with the black tablecloth as the base — makes all the colours of the amigurumi pop like nothing else. The “HOOKED BY DEEVILLE” logo front and centre, doing its job.

Key display moves that worked well:

Wooden crates for height variation — gets the eye moving up and down
Tiered wooden stand for the smaller bits and bobs
Welsh dragon front of stage — because you don’t sell crafts in Caernarfon without representing, do you?

The Stars of the Show

The usual suspects were out in force:

Purple unicorns (always a winner)
Green frogs (jumping off the table, practically)
Black and white bears (classic, cozy)
That big black dragon perched up high (proper menacing, in a cute way)
Hedgehogs, cats, and various colorful creatures that don’t have names yet but people loved anyway

The Venue

Caernarfon Market hall never disappoints. Those teal sea-green walls, the high ceilings with exposed beams, the mezzanine looking down — it’s got proper character. Not your sterile craft fair setup; this feels like a market.

The Edison bulbs hanging over the stall added a nice touch too. Warm light on colorful crafts = instant cozy vibes.

The Vibe

Quiet moment when this photo was taken — either early setup or a lull between rushes. But that’s the thing about markets: they breathe. People come, they browse, they find the one creature that speaks to them, and off they go happy.

Saw pets too (caught a dog’s tail in the corner of the shot), which always means the crowd is the right sort of crowd.
